Shrub Decline: Mystery Solved!

Shrub Decline Mystery Solved / www.giroudtree.com

Pests are not just insects. There are also voles, moles, and other critters that harm valuable landscaping. In this video, Robert Nagy, Giroud Arborist, is on a property evaluation in Jenkintown, PA to check an ornamental Holly that is in decline. It’s a mystery. What’s wrong with this shrub? Well, upon close inspection at the roots, tiny teeth marks show that small animals ate the bark and destroyed the tree. The best thing to do is trim back the ground cover, remove the Holly and replace it with a plant that will thrive in that spot.
