Tree Care
Property Inspection
As an ISA Certified Arborist, your Giroud Arborist has the expertise to examine your trees for health issues and hazards. His root to crown inspection will check for cracks, decay, deadwood, structural defects and other problems.
Problem Diagnosis
A comprehensive inspection is usually all that's needed to determine what's wrong with a tree. Rare or more challenging conditions may require more intensive evaluation including root excavation, tissue sampling and soil tests.
Pruning/Cabling/Maintenance
Enhance the health and beauty of your trees and reduce the risk of trees falling or breaking apart, especially in a storm. Proper tree care requires professionals who are skilled in the standard arboricultural practices. Even basic tree pruning can damage a tree if it is not done properly. We provide our field staff with intensive training throughout the year to continually improve their knowledge and techniques.
Tree/Stump Removal
It’s always sad to lose a tree. However, when a tree becomes a hazard to your property and the people around you, it must be removed. A Giroud Arborist will evaluate your tree and determine the best way to remove it safely. Our equipment and skilled climbers enable us to remove even the most challenging trees quickly without damaging the surrounding landscape. Thanks to our powerful stump machines, we are able to remove ugly stumps to below ground level so that you get a nice smooth landscape.
Insect/Disease Control
Our treatment programs are based on the latest research and technology available. Giroud takes a responsible and green approach. Problems are treated only when necessary. Wherever possible, we use alternatives to traditional sprays and chemicals. Giroud also offers deer repellant and tick control programs to help protect your family and pets from Lyme Disease.
Soil Amendments
Soil provides trees with the basics for survival: food, water, oxygen and stability. If your soil lacks these basic needs, your tree will suffer and decline. A soil test for pH levels, nutrient and mineral content, and soil structure can pinpoint the problem. If soil structure is too dense, aeration, radial trenching or vertical mulching loosens soil to allow free air and water flow. Poor soil content can be resolved with Giroud’s Vitamin Complex and/or custom blend fertilizer.
